The premise of this project was to design a movie poster for the up coming movie "Silent Hill". I was given a set of pictures that could be used for the poster along with the title design by Sony Pictures.

I went and scoured a lot of movie posters of the horror genre from the present to the past and tried to incorporate both elements into the poster. In our generation, most posters use a single disturbing image and then have a movie title. In the past there where a few image that conveyed the story.

I knew already that the girl of this movie is the catalyst of the story I used here and gave her a poltergeist look because that is what she is in the movie. Next I used some the scenes that they gave and put them order of the protagonist first introduction of hell. Just so the audience could get a taste of what to expect. I managed to place in the semi-finals with the poster though.
